Timothy Geithner is a crook, and he is the dumbest guy in finance. Timothy Geithner failed to pay four years of FICA taxes. When the IRS audited two years of his returns, he finally paid them. He did not have the brains to realize that the IRS can go back as many years as it wants and audit tax returns when it suspects fraud. So he got caught again.
If this guy is appointed Treasury Secretary, as it appears he will be, he will be in charge of your money and my money and the IRS. Do you want a crook in charge of your money? Do you want a dummy in charge of your money? What about the poor IRS agents who audited his tax returns? I guess they will have to join the ranks of 11.1 million now unemployed.

If President Obama appoints Mr. Geithner Treasury Secretary I am going to have a lot more to rant about.
Oh, he's so smart, oh, he's the only person who can get us out of this mess we are in. Dishonest people got us into this mess. We don't need a not-so-smart tax cheat to get us out of it.

I was watching the White House briefing this afternoon, and one of the reporters asked the press secretary if the President is going to instruct the IRS to be more lenient to taxpayers when they say, "I didn't know, but I'm sorry."
The reporter then wondered about the differing fates of Tim Geithner and Wesley Snipes. (Snipes is an actor who was sentenced to three years in jail for tax evasion.)
Did you know that the IMF gave him the money to cover the SE tax and that he signed a document affirming that he would pay it?
And I looked into the day care deduction for Anna. TurboTax is crystal clear about what is eligible and what is not. (Montessori school is not — and neither is sleep away camp!)
